Today’s adventure was all about lunch at Kéhli Vendéglő. It is about a 5 mile walk from our apartment so it was a great way to get in a 10 mile walk. The walk took us to the Buda side for the first time. To get there we crossed the Liberty Bridge. It is the . . . read more

Let me just start off by saying I’m loving all these cherry things that they have here. It started with sour cherry juice on the plane. It’s supposed to make you sleep better. I got a good sleep so maybe it worked? Or maybe it was the Z quill ultra I took. I’ll have to . . . read more

One of the easy day trips from Lucerne is to Mount Pilatus. The day we went it was drizzling a bit but this meant it wouldn’t be too crowded. It was just a a little under 3 miles to walk to get the cable car up the mountain. From there we stopped to warm up . . . read more

I absolutely loved our stay in Lucerne. We arrived by train and were able to walk to the hotel in about 10 mins. The staff was friendly and helpful. They called around and got us the best rate on a car to get to the airport later that week. Once that was taken care of . . . read more

After our rest day we were ready to tackle one of the mountains. This hike was 7.87 miles. We did in in 3.5 hours and it had an elevation of 1,845 feet. One thing we noticed on this hike was how many families with small children were biking up and down the mountain. The locals . . . read more

Our next Switzerland stop, Davos, was a feast for the eyes. The most common thought I had while hiking around was that it was like the most perfect postcard picture. The greens were so vivid, the air was crisp and clean and the sound of the burbling streams was relaxing. Our first hike was 13.55 . . . read more

There was so much good food in Zurich. Some from touristy restaurants and others from local places. The first place we went to was in the old town. We arrived before the hotel check in time so we just checked our bags and headed out exploring. We were both a bit hangry so wanted to . . . read more
